Mayan ruins at Tulum

A visit to the Mayan ruins at Tulum is a ticket right back to the great Mayan civilisation with a highly developed alphabet, arithmetic, astronomy, construction work, trade, art and ceremonial world. It also was an extremely class divided society with the ordinary workers living outside the protective city walls. Today everybody can get in through the narrow tunnel in the huge wall for a fee of 45 pesos.
Right below one of the temples there is a beautiful closed beach. Here you can play in the water in the same cove the Mayans did.
